I thought that you might have as well! But that is okay. You can just keep trying! That is the meaning of 'hard work', Komaru-san!

[ She sulks, a sudden surge of despair overtaking her. ]

There's no way I can beat you....I've tried my hardest, and you keep on blocking my attacks.

[Oh... It hurts, it aches his heart to see her downspirited. And to think that he's the one responsible...

Lee steps up to her and tries to rest a hand on her shoulder.]

Please, Komaru-san... please believe me! Nothing is hopeless. If you keep trying, you will succeed! You are stronger than you think!

...Do you really think so? I mean, you've been doing this way longer than I have...

[ He was the one who had come to her, after all, and took her under his wing in preparation for the battle against the Warriors of Hope. It was only natural that he had more experience, so she's doubtful that she'll ever be on par with Lee's abilities. ]

I have. [He nods softly.] And that is how I know! I can see that you have a strong and youthful fighting spirit. Just like mine! And with it, there is no limit that you can do! You can even punch me in the face!

[ She's silent for a while until she finally nods in (reluctant) compliance. ]

O-Okay...I'll give it another go.

[He nods, and his smile shines with pride.]

I am glad to hear that. Do not give up, Komaru-san... Keep on thinking of new tactics! Your youth is at full power!

Alright, here goes...!

[ She lunges forward again and goes in for a swing; however, this time, she decides to go in with her other fist as well for a type of consecutive attack. ]

[Double punch! Rock Lee is impressed, but he still manages to catch one punch with each hand.]

Better! [He calls out supportively.]

Ngh... [ SHE WILL...try the same attack again! ]

Howooooh!!

[WILL SHE EVER TRY TO TRICK HIM if not then this blow will manage to land on his cheek through the sheer force of her determination.]

[ I mean...this is the girl who tried to scare Fukawa, only to end up scaring herself when Fukawa screamed...

...which, okay, sure, is precisely what she will do once she manages to get behind him again, because it's Komaru. ]

BOO!

[That'll do it!! Lee jumps in fright, and his face is ripe for the punching!]

Ack!! Gh-ghost?!!

[ The sad part is she would probably jump for the sole reason that he jumped, and we'd be right back where we started...but for the sake of plot advancement, she will take this as her chance to sucker-punch him in the face. ]

Yay! I finally punched you!

[ She sounds so happy about that... ]

[His shock turns into pure joy and pride, and he clasps her hands excitedly.]

You did it!! Komaru-san, you did it! You passed the ultimate test!!

[ She bounces up and down on the balls of her feet excitedly. ]

Then, that means I'm finally ready to take on the Warriors of Hope, right?!

[ As long as she distracts them first by pretending to be a ghost... ]

Yes!! You must finally be prepared. There is nothing more that I can teach you...

[He tears up as he flashes a thumbs up.]

I- I am so proud!!

[ Nooo, don't cry...you're going to make her cry in a minute, Lee. ]

I wouldn't have been able to do it without you, Lee-san, so...thank you.

[SORRY he cries too easily.]

Y-you are very welcome! [He bows quickly.] It is my honor - I am happy to help you! I just want to make sure that you have as much of a fighting chance as possible!

[He then looks at her seriously.]

If you were hurt... I- I do not know what I would do!

O-Oh...um, you shouldn't worry about me...

[ SHE'S EMBARRASSED... ]

You are right. Now that I see your strength... [He presents a thumbs up.]

I will cheer you on instead!

[ THAT'S NOT WHAT SHE MEANT EITHER and now she's even more embarrassed. ]

W-Well, thank you...it really means a lot, Lee-san.

It does? Well... I- I am happy to help you, Komaru-san!

Then, Lee-san...let's do our best together, okay? If we work together, we'll defeat the Warriors of Hope for sure!

[ She's still hesitant - of course she is - but she can't help but feel more reassured by his words. Since she did manage to land a hit onto him, then she should be able to combat the Warriors of Hope, right? That's what she chooses to believe, anyways. ]

Ossuuuu!!

[He dramatically pumps a fist in the air.]
