【the CALL ME OUT meme】
a roleplay meme to inspire muses.

refer to the list above for active muses. also, feel free to ask for anyone from my very messy, outdated muselist that's not listed here; i'll probably play most anyone that's not under retired or the umineko category bc god that's gonna take a long time to canon review for. bear in mind, voices will be extremely shaky!
post "calling" one of them out — you can do so by putting their name in the subject line!
can be informal/formal/comment spam/crosscanon/explicit/whatever tickles your fancy!
feel free to make up a scenario at the start, or wait to see where things go. alternatively, if you'd like me to start, then post a top-level and lmk!

meme code.

Yeah.

[ She does at least answer this time, but it's brief and immediate, as if she hadn't given the question any thought. For a while, that seems like all she's going to say while she continues to keep tapping at the controls to defeat her computerized opponent, until she finally speaks up again: ]

There are plenty of combo moves that you can use. I recommend using them, actually...it'll catch your opponent off guard and make it easier to get a hit in. Don't use them too frequently, though, or your opponent will catch on to your strategy and be able to plan accordingly. Mm...the effective way to use combos is to use them sparingly.

I see.

[ She folds her arms over her chest, humming rather pleasantly in agreement. Then again, Mion is rather skilled at games so she gets what Nanami means by having your opponent understand what's going on if things keep repeating too often. At least it makes things interesting! ]

I get it. You'd have to mix things up and keep your opponent on their toes! By making sure they can't read you, it makes it easier for you to win.

Yes, that's it!

[ Nanami can't help but sound excited when Mion says that, because she feels as though her teachings were actually beneficial into helping her catch on so quickly. A few seconds later, there's a "You win!" from the arcade machine, with Nanami having beaten the CPU. ]

Then...do you want to go ahead and begin? Or you could play against the computer to practice first...I don't mind either.

Heh...

[ She'll laugh a little, lips quirking upwards into a mischievous grin. ]

I'll definitely go ahead and begin! It won't be that fun for you if you just watched, don't you think?

Mm... [ She's fairly sure it's just a rhetorical question, but she can't help but mull over it in her mind and answer anyways. ] Just watching people have fun while playing games...can be fun for me, too. I guess you could say that games are kinda my life...and that seeing people enjoy games as much as I do is no different than playing them myself? ...I think.

[ ...Something like that. She doesn't know; she's not a philosopher. ]

But if you say you're ready to begin, then...I accept your challenge.

[ She adds a few more coins into the machine, then selects the vs. mode. ]

You think so?

[ Again, another rhetorical question, but it's one she leaves unanswered as Mion grabs onto the controller's stick, nodding as she decides to select a character. Definitely going for the badass female here. ]

Alright, I'm 100% ready!

Okay. Then, let's start.

[ Nanami selects her character as well and chooses to randomize the fighting stage. Once the stage is set up with both characters on either side, a countdown appears in the middle of the screen with an announcer shouting each number. "3...2...1...fight!" The moment that her character is allowed to move, Nanami takes the offensive approach and begins with a kick. ]
