The Midnight Texting Meme

It's the middle of the night and you're trying to catch some z's — or brooding alone in the alleys, as one does — when your phone dings and suddenly a stranger or a friend is texting you. What could they possibly want at this hour? Is it important? Stupid? Are they drunk or maybe just needy? Do they need help hiding a body??? Pick up your phone and find out!

Rules:

● Post with your character's name and canon on the subject line, indicate preferences as needed
● Tag others
● Have fun!

[ Ah, just as she suspected -- this person was in Towa City. Kirigiri flips to a clean sheet on the notepad on her desk and quickly jots that down. She also pays mind to the phrasing "accursed bears"; clearly that refers to the Monokuma units that the Warriors of Hope are utilizing in their riots, but that particular word choice implies that this person has no affiliation whatsoever with what the children are doing. Of course, it's too soon to make any definitive statements, but it seems unlikely that this person is connected to them if they're having to avoid the Monokumas themselves. ]

[txt]: I understand. I would not want to jeopardize both of our safety either.
[txt]: However, considering the current state of Towa City, I am afraid I do not know how soon I can meet with you.

[ After all, the Future Foundation is prohibited from entering the city, lest anything should happen to Togami. Naegi had frantically informed her of the conversation he had with his sister and Fukawa, and the latter's explicit threat that under no circumstances were they to come or else she would kill Komaru. Unfortunately, that was their only means of making contact with them as well, so it's not as though Kirigiri can reach out to them and have them investigate this matter on her behalf either. ]

[txt]: Although, I suspect that you are in a similar predicament.
[txt]: You won't be able to leave until this situation is resolved either, am I correct?

[.... What a strange conversation, it reminds him vaguely of interrogation. Stolas peers over his shoulder bird eyes honing in on the text–  Dealings with authority may get tricky if that who your client is. He keeps this in mind while he contemplates a response.]

[txt]: I see, I shall keep that in mind.
[txt]: It is quite dangerous, so I do not blame you.

[He has heard of the Future Foundation, vaguely, people trying to rid of this whole mess. Although, he's a little suspicious of the organization– there's a concern if those Despair Obsessed Fools had wormed their way into their ranks. ]

[txt]: Similar predicament? Hm, well I suppose.
[txt]: Indeed, I could leave, but it'd likely lead into unnecessary complications.... I can hold my own here though.

[ He lets a few minutes pass, staring at the messages– contemplative. He sniffs lightly, wondering if it'd be right to question his client.]

[txt]: ...Forgive me for being presumptuous, but you speak as if you aren't currently in Towa City...?

[txt]: Is that the impression I give you?

[ Hm. Whoever this person is, they're a lot more observant than Kirigiri had credited them for. From that question alone, she can deduce that this person's client was originally based in Towa, meaning it was a little suspicious that they would currently not be. Well, with the happenings in the artificial island, it's not too difficult to think of a plausible explanation. ]

[txt]: Then, I must apologize for giving you the wrong idea.
[txt]: I am currently within Towa City; however, I am afraid I was unfortunate enough to get caught up in those children's "game."
[txt]: You may or may not have seen others wearing them, but those children have been strapping bracelets onto their victims, which they then use to hunt them down and kill them.
[txt]: Due to this, it would not be wise for us to meet, not until I have found a way of removing the bracelet. I hope you can understand the position I'm in.

[ Granted, the "Demon Hunting" killing game wasn't made known to the general populace, but she's learned from Naegi's conversation with his sister that there are more participants in this twisted little game. If she masquerades as one of the Captives, then who can necessarily say that she's lying... ]

[txt]: I am hoping that the riots will be suppressed within a couple of days.
[txt]: That is why I inquired about rescheduling and whether or not you would be leaving afterwards.

[ Wow, this isn't suspicious at all. He allows the texts to sit for a few minutes, and turns to his partner who eyes the contents suspiciously. Their clients were sparse due to how chaotic the town is, carrying a full skeleton into this mine field would be difficult. And considering his specialty, he didn't want to be brainwashed and become pawn to the Ultimate Despair. Whoever this is, they must be quite cunning. It seemed like their information overlapped– naturally he knows that much, but he was lucky to have evaded being given a bracelet with a NG code.]

[txt]: Hoh, I'm aware of them. I was lucky enough to avoid being given one.
[txt]: But I've heard of it from the clients brave enough to lug bones to my shop. I understand where you're coming from.

[ She could be lying, but he trickles in some of his knowledge of the matter. He didn't know if any of the other big wig Ultimate Despair were wandering Towa City either.]

[txt]: ....Forgive my suspicions, but that was the impression you gave. It came off as strange.
[txt]: I have to ask what you look like– also, and who you are so I'll be able to confirm it's you whenever you arrive. I wouldn't want any of the troublesome despair-heads waltzing in my shop. I've gathered some intel regarding of who is, but there are a lot of undocumented cases where they seem like any other sane person.
