Someone mentioned that it wasn't raining, someone really insulted a psychopath squirrel, and whatever plans you had were utterly ruined. Or maybe, despite everything, it went along perfectly. Whatever happened, you’re lost in the woods and there doesn’t seem to be a quick way out. Will you get back onto the path easily, or will you stumble upon some trouble? Or not? Anything is possible!

LOST THE MAP ✿ Was it that evil raccoon? Or perhaps you forgot it at the camp three miles back? Whatever the reason, you’ve decided that you’re just going to follow the trail wherever it goes, and it turned out to be your worst decision ever.

COMPASS IS WRONG ✿ The magnetic fields of the world is just messing with you now, sending you in a direction you didn’t want to go. But it might be a fun, if crazy, adventure. But is that the same bear you messed with earlier this morning?

MAGICAL WONDER ✿ You have got to show someone this! A cave filled with crystals, a baby deer with its mother, a beautiful lake… They might not like the woods, but you’re dragging them with you to see this wonderful sight you can’t see in the city.

DATE ✿ It’s certainly different from movies and popcorn! Do you have a picnic set up? Is there fishing involved? Perhaps bird watching. Be creative!

[ The Count's face contorts into confusion, but it's gone quick as it appeared; the shadows of his hair obscure his face briefly, erasing any evidence of it. The weight of the paint gun registers in his hand, and he gently grips at the trigger; right, paint ball. Truly, this is beyond his exceptions, he isn't sure if he should marvel or be disappointed in what they're engaging in. His Master is... an enigma, unreadable, from all the airs of bravado she puts on. He's uncertain whether or not her her air headed, cheerful personality ruse or who she truly is. In response, he blinks to her query.

It takes him a moment to reply. ]

[ He twirls the paint gun in his hand, not yet shooting it yet. What color was in his again? He hadn't bothered to look. Thanks for being a spoil sport, Dantès.]

However, you failed to mention why we're here in the first place, Master. [ His tone blunt, he wears a mask of neutrality. There had to be a reason, right? Were there someone she wanted to destroy? To get vengence on? Or was it much bigger than that– did she had an elaborate scheme? Or perhaps... she was a simpleminded, fool, who was carefree– not caring of the war?. He has many questions, Master. ] Care to enlighten, me?

[ The two of them are quite mismatched, if you ask Yurika. From personality to looks, everything about their partnership is odd. Yurika can't say she's not a little disappointed she wasn't matched with a fairytale of some kind. But if this is war... If it's for her wish, then she's more than happy with Avenger's power.

It's not that she doesn't feel some regret for the wishes of others she'll need to crush. It's simply that hers is one she cannot, will not give up on. ]

No real reason. [ She responds easily, jokingly taking aim once again. She won't shoot yet, though; she'll give him a chance to retaliate first, just to be nice. ] If the two of us are going to work together, we'll need to trust each other, no? I don't want to just have a business relationship. [ And it's true; she does want to get to know him. It's only fair to him as a person, especially if she's relying on him. ] Sooooo, I figured we could have some fun! All fighting and no play sounds awful, don't you agree?

I see. [ He doesn't miss a beat. ] Unfortunately, I've never had the privilege to those trivialities in life, thus had no real attachment toward them.

[ Sometimes, you get so wrapped into revenge plot drama you forget to chill. Even as a Servant, he has not abandoned his obsession with vengeance. It eludes the Count what could've summoned him to her side– did she bear a grudge so great it required his abilities? More food for thought.

Because, he cannot simply buy into the fact she summoned him on chance, without some ulterior motives for the war. A Master has to be crafty in order to survive– something one cannot insure.]

So you wish us to become friends then? Sounds like a perfect scenario– but we'll see. [ Not even a second later, he fires the trigger of his paint gun point blank, neon pink paint splatters all over her. Looks like blood, but not quite the right shade. ~~cue funky murder discovery music–– wait.~~ He decides to play her game, for now– his judgement not set in stone. ] Can you beat me then, Arisu Yurika? All body parts must be covered.

All the more reason to try now, then! [ She still doesn't know Avenger's true name, so she doesn't have a frame of reference for how his life must have been. His attitude is quite telling, perhaps, but it's not as though she can glean an entire life's experience from him being a bit weird, when he's keeping it from her for now.

Yurika is a bit weird, too, and she's certain he could never guess what she's keeping from him. They're both keeping each other at arm's length, both trying to see who will slip first. It's actually quite fun, in a way. ]

Oh! [ The gunshot startles her, but it only takes a moment for her to gather herself again. She looks at the neon pink splattered on her vest (strangely grotesque for looking nothing like blood), and grins. ] That's the spirit, Avenger! I accept your challenge! Buuut how about we make things a little more interesting? [ If he's willing to humour her, she may as well offer proper incentive. ] Winner gets to ask the loser one question they must answer. You said a Holy Grail War is a war of information, didn't you? So we'll practice like this. [ So saying, she fires another shot at his arm, before she turns tail and proceeds to take off deeper into the woods. ] And no cheating, Mr. Servant! I'm a delicate girl!

[ Demonstrably false, but whatever helps her sleep at night. ]

I concur, your challenge accepted. [Very easily, the Count could win with his Servant abilities. But she said no cheating– so he supposed he could go easy on her. When she darts off into the woods, he follows after her– like a predator after his prey; or is it really the prey given a false sense of security and she's really a wolf in sheep's clothing? He doesn't know all of the answers, but he'll roll with it.

He shoots a few paint balls at her legs, which get stained but not entirely before she gets away from him. When he's in wood, he presses himself up against a tree, gaze darting from to side to side until he advances further.]

You cannot outrun a Servant, Master; do not foolishly overexert yourself!

[ Ouch! Getting hit in the ankles stings a lot more than she'd expect it to, but his shots only serve as incentive for her to speed the hell up. She doesn't intend to let him win. It's nothing personal, at least not yet; she knows that Servants can backstab and form contracts with new Masters, and it's that thought that lingers at the back of her mind. She does intend to uphold her end of the bargain, but if he asks her motivations, if he knows why she's fighting...

If he chose to betray her, would he go after Alistair? The thought fills Yurika with such fear it makes her feel sick. Yurika would do anything to keep him safe. She can't risk a single threat to her beloved. So she needs to know she can trust him before she's honest with him.

Avenger's words serve as her beacon; she's taken cover in some underbrush for now, waiting, waiting... Aha! Finally his feet come into view. She feels a bit like a sniper, lying on the forest floor like this, and so she takes a great amount of joy in shooting two shots in rapid succession at his feet! Only one connects, but that's good enough! Just one more arm and leg to blast, and she's won! ] Thanks for the heads up, Avenger! But so long as you don't cheat I'll be just fine! [ She's scrambled out of her bush now, firing one more blast in his direction as a deterrent before zipping off again, cackling as she goes. ] Better hurry up if you want any chance of winning!

[ Below!? Though Dantès jumps back, it's too late now that one of his feet is stained. The shot she fires haphazardly happens to get into his hair, adding some color to his already chilling profile. If his enemies in his past life saw him, how would they react to a hilarious sight. A man who could strike fear into anyone, with an air of intimidation.... but he's covered in paint? It tickles him briefly. So thanks for the paint job; good job Yurika! Her antics break an amused chuckle from him, as he pivots around to chase after her firing some haphazard shots after her while breaking into a run. The Count will take a shot at her back, though he isn't sure if the paintballs will connect.]

How's that? [ Bang. Bang. Click. He'll send a volley of three more and will continue to run after her.] You won't escape so easily.

[ He'll pull a trick out of her book and dive into the underbrush of some shrubs and will send another shot her way.]
