You forgot your compass, lost the map, took the instructions of that crazy old guy living in a log, or were just plain stupid and falling for every horror movie cliché. Someone mentioned that it wasn't raining, someone really insulted a psychopath squirrel, and whatever plans you had were utterly ruined. Or maybe, despite everything, it went along perfectly. Whatever happened, you’re lost in the woods and there doesn’t seem to be a quick way out. Will you get back onto the path easily, or will you stumble upon some trouble? Or not? Anything is possible!

PICKING FLOWERS ✿ Nothing simpler than going out and collecting some flowers. It is to brighten up a room? Cheer up a sick friend? Woo a loved one? Wait a moment… where did the path back home go?

MAGICAL WONDER ✿ You have got to show someone this! A cave filled with crystals, a baby deer with its mother, a beautiful lake… They might not like the woods, but you’re dragging them with you to see this wonderful sight you can’t see in the city.
DATE ✿ It’s certainly different from movies and popcorn! Do you have a picnic set up? Is there fishing involved? Perhaps bird watching. Be creative!

RAIN ✿ How many times do you have to see it in movies before you learn not to say, “At least it’s not raining?”
INJURY ✿ A sprained ankle, a concussion, maybe even a splinter. Any sort of injury is going to make an experience in the woods more miserable.

yaoihand, it causes her to fall.] Urgh![ Using the momentum from the speed, she managed to twist in the air and grab onto another tree branch. As she hangs from it, she frowns. ]
Are you okay, Yusuke!? [ Her eyes widen upon seeing a shadow in the fog that wasn't there before.]

Yusuke! [ Kyousuke shouts, nearly bareling into him.] Are you okay!?

[ If only he could do something to help... If he had a ball with him, then maybe he could kick it at the ghost to catch its attention! And then...well, he's not sure what comes after that -- Kyosuke's the strategist between them, after all! -- but it's a good start if he does say so himself. Luckily, he doesn't have to think any further as a sketchy-looking man suddenly makes his appearance. ]
Uwah! A strange man appeared! [ Yeah, he has no verbal filter, unfortunately. And the 'big bro' thing doesn't help matters either. But he does seem to relax slightly when he mentions that he's friends with Jack; good, at least they're not dealing with another enemy. He gives a nod of understanding at Merlin's instructions, then glances over at the sound of an unfamiliar voice, gawking slightly at Medusa's visage. ] Wah, and a strange lady also!
[ Sorry, Medusa, he doesn't have his--oh wait, no, there he is. ]

I'm fine, I'm fine! Especially now that you're here! [ With a grin -- is that the sound of teeth chattering? -- he flashes a quick V-sign at his brother before, you know. Casually grabbing his arm and hiding behind him. B-But totally not because he's scared of the giant skeletal ghost over there or anything! He glances over at Medusa, then at Merlin and Jack, before looking back at the Rider. ] You're one of Jack's friends, too, right? Thanks for keeping Kyosuke safe!

[ As it gives out another screech, she laughs as she hops between the trees and gorges into its spinal cord with enough impact to level some of the trees. Jack disappears into the fog then bangs into the ghost's skull.]

[ With a graceful swoop of a sword, Merlin bats away some of the pesky mob ghosts and a twirl of his wooden staff he sends some strengthening for Jack.] It'd probably be bad leaving Jack alone, right, Medusa? I could bring these kids to safety but....

Hm ? Oh, it's no problem. He nearly got eaten by one after tripping while running over to find you.
[ Kyosuke shoots her an embarrassed, scandalized look but he doesn't deny it either. He looks back to Yusuke with nothing but relief. ]
We're not. Sorry to burst your bubble. [ Medusa replies over her shoulder as she sends another ghost to Merlin's direction and they work in cohesive teamwork to thwart of the ghosts around them.] But you should probably wait for her to tell her that yourselves.
[ Not like casually telling these rando kids their true names, but it won't matter too much anyway. She glances over to Merlin, who has just gutted another ghost.] Makes sense, who knows what's out there. I'm pretty sure Alter is around somewhere, but I'm uncertain where.

...We could simultaneously you know... to give Jack a hand, that gigantic wraith might be the source of all these other ghosts.

[ Point: right over his head. Or is it? It's hard to tell, considering how absentminded he can be at times. Then again, no one knows Kyosuke better than he does; even if he won't admit it himself, he knows that he probably gave his brother quite the scare when they got separated, especially once these strange ghosts started showing up. It's their connection as twins, after all. ]

[ Yeah, the way he says that implies that he is not sure why his twin is so taken aback by their names. Because he isn't sure, for that matter. It's not like he's familiar with the Arthurian legends or Greek mythology, what with his brain being so full of soccer as it is; as far as he's concerned, they're all just normal -- albeit foreign-sounding -- names. He won't deny that Medusa's statement about Jack is a little curious, though, but he's not going to think too hard about it, lol. ]
Is Alter another friend of yours? [ Actually, this talk of friends reminds him of something important. ] ...Ah! What about Shiki and the others!? Are they okay, too? We all came into this forest together, but we ended up getting separated from each other... They might also be in trouble if all these...y'know, g-ghosts, are roaming around!

[Merlin hums in contemplation as he considers their question. But for now, he looks to Medusa with his usual laidback smile. ]
[ Medusa shakes her head, now moving to remove her mask. With that, Merlin accepts her answer and taps his staff against the forest floor to ready his Noble Phantasm.]

[ With her mask off, Medusa opens her eyes and looks over to toward the gigantic ghost. She crouches down into position, now focusing her magical energy and slices into her forearm to gather blood— it flies into the air and makes an elaborate symbol with a giant eye in the center where white light gathers. She grabs into the circle as reigns protrude and grabs ahold as something materializes from it. A whiny of horse can be heard and as the light dissipates, she jumps atop it and shouts.]
Bellerophon!
[ Medusa flies off, charging forth atop a Pegasus, and catches the giant ghost’s attention. A glare of her mystic eyes makes the giant ghost turn partially to stone that she promptly slams into. Merlin meanwhile taps his staff against the forest floor, as a mirage hangs above as he mumbles a little chant, but by the end he says Garden of Avalon— and millions of flowers bloom underfoot, stretching as far as where ghost is being harassed by Jack and Medusa. A gentle light pours through, feeling as if one may have been rejuvenated- it makes Kyosuke gasp aloud— he doesn’t feel as tired like before! He glances over to Yusuke over in awe.]

When she stops in front of them, Jack's innocent smile appears a little menacing in the dark! She blinks in surprise, glancing between the twins.]

[ Kyosuke meanwhile glances between Yusuke and Medusa, flabbergasted. Then settles his gaze on Yusuke with a frown.]
Why did that feel like I watched parts of Reina-chan’s soccer matches… Y'know with the hissatsu moves and all....

[ Never mind the fact that he literally has never heard of them until just now. Because unlike somebody else, he's not a nerd; just pure jock. At least his excitement seems to simmer down slightly as the topic switches back over to their missing friends; right, getting rid of the ghosts and locating the rest of High×Joker was the most important thing! Once they were sure they were safe, then he could ask them all about their lives as mythological figures!
He watches in awe as Medusa summons a horse out of thin air and takes off in the skies towards the massive ghost, then over at Merlin when the myriad of flowers begin to blossom underneath their feet. How pretty...! He hadn't really noticed with all the excitement (read: fear) from before, but both his physical and mental fatigue seems to just wash away. He's feeling a lot better now than he did when this all started, that's for sure! But when Jack begins to fall after slicing through the enemy, he can't help but worry a little, but he lets out a sigh of relief when Medusa catches her in time.
Once they've landed, he can't help but grin at her, and in stark contrast to Kyosuke's current expression, Yusuke's face is lit up with nothing short of excitement. He looks over at his twin, nodding his head furiously. ]
Right, right!? [ Guess whose energy has returned! Whether this is due to Merlin's Garden of Avalon or just Yusuke being Yusuke is up for debate. ] That totally looked like one of the hissatsu moves Reina-chan's showed us! I wanna try doing something like that, too! [ Oh no. Now that the idea's in his head, he's not going to let this go. ] We should brainstorm ideas later and ask Coach if we can perform 'em at one of our lives, Kyosuke! I'm sure we'd surprise aaaaall our supporters if we could pull it off!
[ Well, now that he's gotten that out of his system, he turns his attention back to Jack, smile unwavering even at the blood on her face. ]
Yup, we're identical! That's why we're 'W', after all! [ You know...double? Because there's two of them? ...Yeah, he's not dropping this joke. ] Hey hey, so how'd you guys do all of that just now? That was suuuuuper cool with all the lights and the flowers and the fog! It was kinda like the special effects we use on stage 'cept I didn't see a machine anywhere!

The answer to that is complicated, but think of it as magic— well, magecraft— like in a video game. Have either of you played any RPG games? MMORPGS? [ He doesn’t wait for them to answer.] But unfortunately, I hate to burst your bubble, but you’d probably only able to do that only if you have dedicated animators working in the background to use CGI for the whole stadium~!

We all used something called a Noble Phantasm— which is power based on our legends. Some of us have more than one. It’s almost like a temporary manifestation— where it reproduces scenes or display feats from them but it requires a lot of energy so we don’t use them too often [ lol lmao says one of the big giant overworked looping buffers at Chaldea.] It also depends on class, but you boys don’t have to worry about all of that~!
[ Merlin dismissively waves his hand.]
Also to clear something up, think of us as mere shadows of those from those legends—! Except me, of course!
