[ The last thing that Ferdinand had expected to wake up to in the early hours of the morning was Dorothea knocking on his door and inviting him on a date. After all, their relationship has always been a bit of a rocky one due to a misunderstanding from their childhood that he had forgotten all about. While they had started to take steps towards mending it -- essential, given the crucial time they’re in -- Ferdinand didn’t think that they had reached the point of her asking him out.
He’s not displeased by this turn of events, however. It had been a welcome surprise, and his heart swells with joy at the thought of being able to spend time with Dorothea like this. Five years ago, she wouldn’t have even given him the time of day or allowed him to be this close to her. So even though he is still a bit groggy from being up so early, he doesn’t regret it. He wouldn’t turn her down for anything in the world. ]
A little, yes. [ Not too soon, a yawn escapes out of his mouth, which he promptly covers with a gloved hand. War or no war, he is still a noble and should carry himself as one. ] However, there is no need to worry about me, Dorothea! I will manage until we get there...although, I must admit, I cannot help but be curious about what it is you are so eager to show me this early in the morning?
[ He doesn’t expect to get an answer, as that would defeat the purpose of their little rendezvous altogether, but no one can say that Ferdinand von Aegir didn’t try. Perhaps she’d be generous and spare him a hint at least. ]
i can’t bee-lieve it...
